"...when you look away" is an open-ended investigation into a question that nobody can really answer with authority: what is consciousness? In the process, the director Phie Ambo encounters many different world-views. The questions the film raise for us are: when we're faced with something we don't understand, how do we go about finding an explanation for it? And, whose authority should we trust, and why? Our hope is that the debate surrounding the film will engage with the basic issues faced by our society in navigating the controversies of human knowledge in the 21st century.
The debate panel will be made up of leading and internationally acknowledged researchers, including:
Anja C. Andersen, Associate Professor at Dark Cosmology Centre, Niels Bohr Institute
